Helen Perry, Corporate & Personal Image Consultant

Helen Perry facilitates people.  An expert in the field of presentation since 1983, she guides individuals and groups with a keen eye, quick wit and a highly effective approach.  She is the only image consultant in Houston to earn The Pinnacle Award from The Better Business Bureau for excellence in customer service not only once, but two years in a row (2013, 2014). She received their Award of Distinction in 2015.  Highly energetic about giving back to our community, Helen has volunteered her services to countless non-profits including The Salvation Army, Star of Hope and Ronald McDonald House.  In 1993, she developed and began teaching Eticool School, children’s manners and character development classes.   Over 7,000 young people have benefitted from her invaluable lessons.

A native Houstonian, born the 7th of 8 children, Helen holds a degree in Speech from Louisiana State University.  As a Corporate and Personal Image Consultant and Humorist, she has served numerous corporations such as Baker Botts, L.L.P., Martha Turner Realtors, Memorial Hermann Health System, ExxonMobil and Tiffany & Co.  She has spoken on rosters with Colin Powell and Dr. Ruth, is frequently quoted The Houston Chronicle,   and has done extensive television interviews on all major networks.  Her P.A.T.H program--Professional Awareness Training Heights-- includes seminars on Impression Management, professional attire for the workplace-“Business Casual-What It Is and What It Isn’t”, Telephone Technique, Customer Service, Non-verbal Communication, Goal Accomplishment and Etiquette.  She has traveled as far as Mumbai and New Delhi, India training corporate teams for optimal effectiveness.  Results include employees’ improved professional appearance, heightened morale and increased productivity.  Clients include Houston Mayor Annise Parker.

         

Leticia Ellis-Haywood, Interior Designer, Laura U, Inc.

Letecia Ellis Haywood is an award winning interior designer specializing in fine international residences. As a Senior Designer at Laura U, Inc., Letecia combines problem solving with functional design solutions to create beautiful interiors for each client. With a great eye for detail, she strives to create a fresh and comfortable aesthetic for each project.

Noted in the design industry as a Star on the Rise for 2015, she holds the honor of being elected the 2014 -2015 President of the American Society of Interior Designers, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. In addition to currently serving her local chapter, Letecia was nominated and appointed as a member of the Chapter Support Team (CST) for the national chapter of American Society of Interior Designers. This committee mentors to other chapters across the country and serves as a voice for the local and national chapters, respectively.

Letecia was awarded a Bachelor of Art degree in Interior Design from Sam Houston State University and has been in the industry for over 10 years. She is versed in new construction and renovation projects and is currently designing fabulous homes throughout the country and internationally.

 

Jerry Mathis, Tory Burch

Jerry Mathis is the Assistant General Manager of Tory Burch in the Houston Galleria. Jerry earned his B.S. in Family Consumer Science with a concentration in Fashion Retailing and Merchandising from Lamar University. While studying at Lamar, Jerry joined Fashion Group International as a student member. He later went on to study Fashion Merchandising and Communications abroad at the Paris American Academy in Paris, France. Deciding to continue his education, Jerry also earned a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Service Management and Marketing from Lamar University. His years of experience in the industry includes working for brands such as Macys, Express, Forever 21, Talbots, Abercrombie and Fitch just to name a few. He has worked in many different facets of the industry, from PR to Creative Direction. Jerry is now an Executive Level member of Fashion Group International. He also volunteers at MD Anderson Cancer Center as a patient advocate. Jerry also shares his knowledge and expertise with aspiring fashion industry professionals as an Adjunct Professor at the Art Institute of Houston.
